FLOCKSCREEN™ Elisa kits contain ready to use controls, enzyme conjugate, substrat and stop solution. In many competitor kits some reagents need extra dilution steps.

The assays have been developed with incubations at 37°C for more consistent results. This eliminates problems associated with varying room temperature conditions.

Kits are supplied in 2, 4 or 5 strip plate format configurations ensuring the user only needs to use the number of wells required for each run. Wastage is therefore reduced and any potential degradation of the antigen coated wells by repeated incubation minimised, as may occur in many competitor product formats. This feature combined with liquid, ready to use reagents supported by a single (common) sample dilution for all tests make the x-OvO FLOCKSCREEN™ Elisa range the optimum choice for professional users.

X-OvO offers two new Elisa kits: Salmonella infantis and ART Differentation Elisa kits.

FLOCKSCREEN™ Salmonella infantis ELISA Kit
Infection with Salmonella infantis is a growing problem for the poultry industry globally.  Extensive vaccination against S. enteritidis and S. typhimurium and their control in commercial poultry has been suggested to have contributed to the opening of an infectious niche for S. infantis. 

At European Union level the four most frequently isolated Salmonella serovars on broiler carcasses were respectively, in decreasing order, Salmonella Infantis (29.2% of the Salmonella positive broiler carcass samples), Salmonella Enteritidis (13.6%), Salmonella Kentucky (6.2%) and Salmonella Typhimurium (4.4%).

The FLOCKSCREEN™ Si Elisa Kit offered producers and laboratories the opportunity to test for sero- positivity to this important Salmonella pathogen with the use of homologous antigen plate coating. The FLOCKSCREEN™ Si Elisa Kit can be used as a screening test to confirm whether a flock has been exposed to Si and therefore whether there are likely to be carrier birds in the flock. Where vaccines are available for Si, the test may be used to monitor vaccination response.

FLOCKSCREEN™ ART Differentiation ELISA Kit
Until now, Elisa diagnostic kits have measured the combined A and B subgroup responses to ART infection. As an important aid to the most appropriate management of ART infections and vaccination, x-OvO Limited is delighted to offer the FLOCKSCREEN ART Differentiation Elisa Kit. The kit features highly purified antigens and sera for both A and B subtypes, selected specially for their subtype specific responses, custom manufactured by an International reference institute. Elisa plates provided in the kit are coated with either A or B subgroup antigen, with a single sample subject to a double analysis. Comparison of both results yields important information on the major immune response of the bird and hence the possibility of a particular subtype infection.

The kit is supplied in a 2 plate or 4 plate format, each plate capable of analysing 96 samples for signs of either A or B subgroup infection.
